How do you know if to use stay dry liners?

A stay dry liner can be sewn into a diaper (e.g., AIO, pocket, or fitted) or placed as a loose insert in any diaper. The purpose of the stay dry liner is to wick away moisture and wetness from the child's skin so that the child does not feel wet when they pee. Stay dry liners usually do not have their own absorbent function but work to redirect wetness. However, there are inserts with a sewn-in dry layer, but such inserts consist of more than just the stay dry liners.

Stay dry liners are washed after use with regular diaper laundry.

Moisture! Some children (especially their skin) do not like to be wet. While some children can handle this without any issues, others may react to it. Fleece, mikrofleece eller polar fleece. Soft and cozy, fleece quickly wicks away moisture when the child urinates. It is made of 100% polyester. Green Poppy provides pocket diapers with microfleece or loose inserts with microfleece.

Mock suede. This material swiftly wicks away moisture and is common in pocket diapers. Mock suede can develop pills easily after washing and consists of 100% polyester.

Wool and silk.These are natural materials. They cannot be machine-washed and are ideal for children who do not poop frequently, as they require hand washing.

Pros and Cons of stay dry liners

When to use stay dry liners and when not to is a personal choice.

Pros:

– Håller barnet torr, en del barn blir besvärade om de är blöta.

– Kan minska risken för utslag.

– Perfekt i nattblöja när barnet har blöja en längre tid.

– Kan underlätta vid blöjbyte om barnet har bajsat, om det är ett löst inlägg som går att lyfta.

Cons:

– De vanligaste torrskikten består av konstfibrer, vilket en del inte vill använda av olika anledningar

– En del barn reagerar med utslag mot konstfibrer

– Barnet reagerar inte när den har kissat, vilket kan vara bra om barnet gör om man t.ex. pottränar barnet.
